Every year the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) organises the PATC Short Course on HPC-based Computational Medicine. The course gives a wide perspective and latest trends of how HPC enhances industrial, clinical and research applications allowing to achieve more realistic multiphysics simulations. The course digs on the basics behind the main tools: computational mechanics and parallelisation for HPC infrastructures.
The next edition of the course will take place from the 15th to the 18th of February 2022. For the second year, PerMedCoE collaborates with CompBioMed in the course. On the 18th of February, we will have the lecture ‘An introduction to large-scale constraint based metabolic modeling and analysis‘ presented by Miroslav Kratochvil. Afterwards, our colleague Arnau Montagud will deliver a lecture and hands-on session on ‘The use of multiscale modelling to build a virtual patient from the cell-level up‘. Both sessions will include content on PerMedCoE tools COBREXA, PhysiCell and PhysiBoSS.
The course will be online via Zoom.
Allocation of places will be based on a ‘first come – first served’ basis.
Registrations are open until the 14th of February 2022.
