D1.1 Roadmap of software scalability to pre-exascale, extension processes and best practices for software development (September 2021)

This deliverable merges four different milestones:

  • The roadmap for each of the core applications with details on the sections to be re-factored for pre-exascale architectures and use cases;
  • The roadmap specifying the extensions processes of the core applications and their impact on their functionality, interoperability and usability;
  • A report on software best practices that will be implemented in our software developments; and
  • Annual report on POP forensics results on the core applications, prior to optimisation.
D1.2 Software best practices and optimisation interim report (March 2022)

This deliverable is an interim report on software best practices that have been implemented into the core applications optimisation process, including a revised roadmap of software scalability and extension processes. It also reports on the iterative process followed in collaboration with POP and preliminary results on efficiencies.

D1.3 Mid-term tools release (March 2022)

This deliverable is the release of all code developed, with documentation and use-case tests.

D1.4 Software best practices and optimisation final report (September 2023)

This deliverable is a final report on software best practices that have been implemented into the core applications optimisation process, including a roadmap for potential future developments. It also reports on lessons learned from the iterative process followed in collaboration with POP and final results on pre-exascale-optimised core applications efficiencies.

D1.5 Final tools release (September 2023)

This deliverable is a final public release of all code developed, with documentation, use-case tests, and benchmark reports.

D2.1 Pilot workflow to test infrastructure (September 2021)

This deliverable is a proposal of exemplary workflow incorporating a representative selection of building blocks that can be used to drive the development of the workflow enactment infrastructure.

D2.2 Mid-term code release (March 2022)

This deliverable is the release of the current catalogue of building blocks, use-case workflows, and infrastructure tooling (including the exploration of ML techniques), following software best practices and recommendations (D1.1). It also includes the roadmaps and design choices made during year 1 and their implementation.

D2.3 Report on Pilot workflow (September 2022)

This deliverable is a report on progress made enacting the pilot workflow across the infrastructure, exemplifying progress on hybrid pre-exascale architecture deployment, data mobilisation, intelligent orchestration, etc.

D2.4 Catalogue of functionalities (September 2023)

This deliverable is a final catalogue of building blocks and use case workflows.

D2.5 Infrastructure code release (September 2023)

This deliverable is the release of the code to the infrastructure and the usability tools (interfaces). It includes a report about the compliance of the final product with the objectives of the WP.

D3.1 Use case work plans (March 2021)

This deliverable is a collection of detailed work plans for the use cases, including the collaboration with domain experts, organised communities and coordination with other CoEs for the use of some of their developments. It includes the definition of requirements to have use cases run in a pre-exascale environment. The appropriate ethics clearance steps that have been taken towards data usage in the project, if needed, are also provided.

D3.2 Data Management Plan (March 2021)

This deliverable is the data management plan for the use cases to organise the efficient curation, preservation and provision of access to data collected or produced under the project, and the plans for the management of the software/service outcomes of the joint research activities of the project.

D3.3 First PerMed technology observatory release and benchmark report (September 2021)

This deliverable is a first annual report on new software, algorithms and standards in the PerMed area that are relevant for the PerMedCoE. This release includes preliminary results for the benchmarks of the applications in the PerMed technology observatory against the core applications.

D3.4 Use case progress reports (March 2022)

This deliverable updates the detailed work plans from D3.1 with information from D1.1 and D2.1. It also includes a benchmark report of running use cases. Any ethics clearance documentation required to use the data is also reported.

D3.5 Second PerMed technology observatory release and benchmark report (September 2022)

This deliverable is a second annual report on new software, algorithms and standards in the PerMed area that are relevant for the PerMedCoE. This release includes results for the benchmarks of the applications in the PerMed technology observatory against the core applications.

D3.6 Use case final progress report (September 2023)

This deliverable is the final report on the work performed on the different use cases of PerMedCoE. All the ethics clearance documentation required to use the data and steps taken to grant are also reported.

D3.7 Final PerMed technology observatory release and benchmark report (September 2023)

This deliverable is the final report on software and algorithms in the area of interest of the CoE. This release includes final results for the benchmarks of the applications in the PerMed technology observatory in a dedicated webpage publicly accessible.

D3.9 Data protection impact assessment of use cases

This deliverable provides initial observations on how DPIAs could be approached in this secondary use context, identifying opportunities to mitigate risks towards data subjects as well as the limits of risk assessment and mitigation in this context. The summary concludes by stating that the observations will serve as a basis for a forthcoming deliverable on ethical and legal guidelines for processing special category personal data for precision medicine in HPC environments. Finally, the summary includes a disclaimer stating that the document does not constitute legal advice and that consortium members remain responsible for ensuring their activities comply with applicable laws and policies.

 

 

 

D4.1 Dissemination communication and industry engagement plan (March 2021)

This deliverable details the activities to be undertaken as part of an overall project communication strategy and provides guidance to ensure that all communication activities reflect the project’s identity. It also details the roadmap for industry engagement for implementation during the project lifetime and includes a stakeholder map, including pain points.

D4.2 Training needs analysis and training plan (September 2021)

This deliverable is a report outlining the strategy to address the training needs of stakeholders, including preliminary planned user training. It includes a competency profile, user profiles and needs analysis.

D4.3 First Dissemination, industry engagement and Training Report (March 2022)

This deliverable is a report on all dissemination, engagement and training activities undertaken during the first half of the project, including updated dissemination, industry engagement and training plans for the second half of the project and updated KPIs.

D4.4 Final report on Dissemination, communication and industry engagement (September 2023)

This deliverable is a report on all outreach and dissemination activities undertaken during the second half of the project, including a final user event attached to an existing conference.

D4.5 Final report on training (September 2023)

This deliverable is the final report on user training, including the evaluation and impact assessment of conducted training.

D5.1Guidelines for using exascale methods/software on the medical/healthcare use cases (September 2021)

This deliverable is a set of guidelines with a focus on privacy aspects of the software/workflows to enable processing of sensitive data in a GDPR compliant way (privacy by design and default), and provision of the necessary information for external users to entrust the CoE with their data.

D5.3 Derivation of general guidelines on data protection and privacy preservation of a use-case independent method/software development that will be exascale ready (September 2022)

This deliverable generalizes the findings identified from the use-case specific guidelines and formulates a set of generic ones with the aim to be applied to any software that will run on exascale platforms.

D5.4 Report on recommendations based on risk analysis of guidelines on data protection and privacy preservation, addressing a broader scope and further optimised/developed methods/software (March 2023)

This deliverable is a risk analysis matrix of a broader and open set-up of future applications, and a compilation of recommendations based on the risk analysis of guidelines on data protection and privacy preservation, aiming to address a broader scope and further optimized/developed methods/software.

This deliverable is an overview of the administrative procedures of the project to ensure efficient implementation and high-quality delivery of results, including a risk assessment and management strategy.
