The PerMedCoE project gathered more than 30 attendees from 12 of its consortium partners in Barcelona for the project’s fourth general assembly meeting (GAM) to discuss the project status, management and concrete plans forward for the project’s last year.
Presentations were given on project’s five use cases (COVID-19, Drug synergies for cancer treatment, Cancer diagnosis based on omics information, and Tumor evolutions based on single-cell omics and imaging) and the technical work being done on workflows and building blocks, potential optimisations of GPU and tools, and software engineering practices to incorporate machine learning into the use cases. Forthcoming training events were also discussed:
- PerMedCoE Summer School
- Webinar : Introducing PerMedCoE Building Blocks and Workflows to streamline biological analysis pipelines
- Webinar: Data-driven modelling of intercellular interactions in the tumor microenvironment
Within the framework of this two-day general assembly, partners were able to meet face to face to facilitate exchange around the project, to work in groups during a train the trainers session and a tool demonstrators on learning pathways workshop, and to brainstorm future engagement in stakeholder events.
The PerMedCoE project will end in September 2023 and this collaborative GAM helps to keep momentum high for the final phase of the project.
