The workshop combined presentations with training hands-on exercises performed in MareNostrum 4. The first day was devoted to sessions on singularity, building blocks and workflow managers, which included hands-on demos. The second day consisted of short Bring-Your-Own-Code co-design workshops about each PerMedCoE core application.

This internal training event was aimed at PerMedCoE colleagues that are working on the CoE tools, workflows and code development. The goal was to facilitate the integration of the PerMedCoE tools and workflows by bringing together the involved partners and work packages.

In terms of training, PerMedCoE has already released a draft version of its competency profile. By understanding what competencies (including knowledge, skills and attributes) the professionals in the field of computational biomedicine might need, PerMedCoE will be able to find training gaps for the community, understand stakeholders’ needs and tailor future courses.

Additionally, PerMedCoE will launch a webinar series open to all audiences in September 2021, which will contribute to disseminating the project activities and products. Stay tuned for updates!
